Romance, roses and nosebleeds.

Yesterday was our ten year wedding anniversary. The day we renewed our love and had a huge and elaborate wedding in Canada with our family and friends.

Daddy came home early from work and brought gifts. Kerri got her own rose. Mom got roses and a beautiful card. And I saw him sneak a bottle of bubbly in the fridge.

Then he took us to our favorite sushi restaurant, were we indulged and over ate. Kerri tried fried ice cream for the first time. And there was lots of silliness, too. Daddy and Kerri had thumb wars. They played with Kerri's baby doll. It was not really a romantic dinner, but we would not have it any other way.

After we put Kerri to bed, Daddy popped the cork on the bottle of bubbly and scared Pookie. It took a while to calm him down. And as we shared sweets and bubbly and got romantic, Kerri came running into our bedroom with a nose bleed. She was fine, but our hopes for romance were put on hold. And as we all cuddled in our bed, including bleeding Kerri and shaky Pookie, hubby and I shared the look. Not that look, but the one that says we are content. We love our family, our life together and each other. And that's pretty romantic in my book - even with nosebleeds and a shaky dog.

Life with Kerri celebrates.
