Happy Chinese New Year of the Dragon! We celebrated last night (since it was already the New Year in China) with Carol and Andre. After a lovely dinner, we ate sweet tangerines for good luck.
We always have fun when they come to visit, and Kerri loves having them over. As they were leaving, Kerri asked me when were they coming back again. And Carol and Andre probably feel the same way. They even have Kerri's picture on the wall with all of their grandchildren's portraits. It seems adoption happens in more ways than one in our family. We feel blessed.
We also consider ourselves very fortunate because we get to celebrate the New Year three different times a year, in three different ways. We celebrate the Jewish New Year, the Roman calendar New Year, and the Chinese New Year. Lucky us, we love any reason to get together with loved ones and have a party!
